STUDENT MEDAL COMPETITION (Canada)

The Medallic Art Society of Canada (MASC) has announced the winners of the Student Medal
Competition which is sponsored by the medal society. At the beginning of the school year in September
2008 the competition was announced to art students across Canada and to MASC members. Many welldesigned and executed medals were shown to the jury and after careful deliberation the jury chose the
winner for 2009.

The 1st prize went to Jane Juda for the medal Freedom,
The 2nd prize went to Mayuko Ueda for her medal Self Introduction,
The 3rd prize went to Shu-Hui Yin Lee for her medal Mother and
Pauline Dalby, Young-eun Choi and Joelle Wall each received Honourable Mention.

The Medallic Art Society of Canada presented the prizes to the winners at the Annual General Meeting
held at Glen Williams Town Hall on Saturday, June 13, 2009.

Announcement of the Call for Entry for the Student Medal Competition for 2010 will be made at that time.
